What is hospice care?
Hospice care emphasizes enhancing the quality of life for individuals facing advanced, life-limiting illnesses. Hospice care prioritizes comfort, addressing symptoms and personal needs, and is centered around relieving both the physical pain of patients and the emotional suffering of patients, families, and caregivers.
Azul Hospice and Palliative Care services are provided in your home setting, including private residences, assisted living, long term care facilities, and skilled nursing facilities. Azul offers a team of professionals to help with the physical, emotional, psychological, spiritual, and social impact of the disease on patients, family, and friends.
We pride ourselves on employing a team of skilled professionals who collaborate to manage symptoms, allowing the individual to spend their final days with dignity and quality, surrounded by loved ones.

about the Founder & CEO
Amy Selter, MBA, MSN, RN
Amy Selter is the CEO and Founder of Azul Hospice & Palliative Care, bringing a wealth of experience and a personal commitment to enhancing the quality of hospice care. Previously, she served as the Administrator and CEO of Family Comfort Hospice in Scottsdale, Arizona, where she drove business growth through by expanding healthcare services, and strengthening the company’s market presence by introducing palliative care, mobile primary care, and home health services. Following Family Comfort Hospice’s acquisition by Traditions Health, Amy served as the Regional Hospice Administrator, overseeing six hospice locations throughout Arizona and fostering a high-quality, compliant, and patient-centered care culture across all sites.
After a 2-year hiatus to focus on family, Amy returned to the hospice field as a site surveyor for an accrediting organization, evaluating agencies nationwide. Through these experiences, she gained insights into successful operational strategies and identified key practices to improve quality and efficiency within hospice organizations. Motivated by a desire to apply this expertise independently, Amy established Azul Hospice & Palliative Care to provide compassionate, patient-focused hospice services rooted in best practices.
Amy holds a bachelor’s degree in biology from Fontbonne University, a bachelor’s degree in nursing from Arizona State University as well as an MBA and an MSN with an emphasis in Leadership in Healthcare Systems from Grand Canyon University. Her vision for Azul is to create a supportive and dignified care environment for every patient, no matter their needs, delivered with the highest standards of empathy, respect, and integrity.
